Use Podcast Clip Kit in Codex to upload a video, choose settings and download captioned clips — all from one conversation.

01 Download the Skill package

Download the ZIP and extract it. Open the extracted folder as a project in Codex.

02 Set up and sign in

Send the setup prompt below in Codex. It uses the bundled Skill and uploader, installs dependencies in a dedicated environment, then opens browser authorization.

Read skills/podcast-clip-kit/SKILL.md and use it for this task. Set up the bundled uploader in a dedicated Python environment, then help me sign in to Podcast Clip Kit.

Use the same Google account as the website. A native MCP connection and the Skill may each ask you to authorize access.

03 Give Codex a video and a goal

Example prompt

Turn /path/to/podcast.mp4 into 5 captioned shorts. Use 9:16, adaptive shot and a single-person layout. Show me clips as they finish, then download the MP4s and captions.

You can also provide a public YouTube link. The service reads the video details first; choose settings, then start generation. Keep the uploader running until a local file upload finishes. Once the server is processing, you can leave and find the results in My videos.
